I want to sell my soul to the Devil. According to my family, I'm going to hell anyway because I have premarital sex and don't go to church, so if I'm already going, why shouldn't I sell my soul now for 30-40 more years of actually enjoying my life? Is hell going to be worse because I sold my soul?

#Superman is a concerted effort to power-wash the last twelve dour, joyless years from our mouths. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it took all the way up to the final act to fully win me over, but it DID win me over. Big time! Looking forward with hope for the first time in a (very) long time.

In addition to #JurassicWorldRebirth being the first installment since the original to actually capture a sense of genuine awe and wonder, I also love how often it dips into straight-up horror movie territory.

#M3gan2.0 is deeply stupid, patently absurd, with a third act that is just... everywhere, but it's also kind of glorious? The Knight Rider theme plays in here. I kinda challenge you not to enjoy it. Best in the fleeting moments when it rediscovers its horror roots, but those are few and far between.

I love how often #F1 feels like a Bruckheimer joint from the late 80s. If Joe Kosinski does nothing else but continue to crank out finely tuned, breezy crowdpleasers for the rest of his career, I won't be mad at him.
