I listened for 3 minutes then hit mute. I was firstly struck by how long he spoke and how the wind picked up at times throughout the speech. I then googled it when it was over but damn the wind was strongest while he was speaking utter shit! Am I crazy or was it just me hoping?

It has to stop! Bombing and starving innocent civilians is genocide. Targeting hospitals where innocent people are sheltering is genocide. Gaza is dying. I’m not pro Palestinian or pro Israel. I’m just appalled at what is happening. History repeats and repeats. We learn nothing

I make minimum wage…I often have to weigh up what I buy with what I can afford. 5 packets of ramen noodles and grilled cheese can go a long way in a week, but empty carbs and little nutritional benefit are far from ideal. I save for meat when it’s on special and get creative! Why do I have to?

He moved the needle forward on human rights and abuses. Pope John Paul II started the movement but Francis gave the church a mandate it can follow or quash. As a Catholic, I pray that the church becomes a symbol of what is just and humane. He loved as Jesus did and saw everyone as God’s children
