Yes! I was thinking the same thing. Dems vote down the CR, government shuts down, Trump gets unchecked power and shuts down agencies which he deems unnecessary and never reopens them! Mission accomplished. Why do you think Trump is goading the Dems by thanking Schumer!?!

I have mixed feelings about it. Dems are stuck between a rock and a hard place. By not passing the CR, we were basically handing the 🍊💩 unchecked power. He would make the call on what would be considered essential. Couldn't he do what he wants? Am I wrong in my thinking?
