My simple take. Too many in MAGA, even with all their guns, feel threatened by everyone who is not like them, the "others." They see Trump as their savior, the one who will protect them from the "others" by either keeping the "others" in their place below them in society or deporting them. #NoKings

Which city are you near? I have a very good friend in Kyiv. We talk almost weekly. We've been to each other's houses, and he ended up staying in the US over a year.
