My girl just went into her crate and wouldn’t look at me in protest of Daylight Starvation Time. The picture is from a few weeks ago when it was 4 minutes past dinner time. Apparently today was just too traumatic when I said “not yet”

So true. I had to have one of my pups put to sleep this week. She’s the 7th rescue I lost. Thankful for the trust, love and memories I received from each and each was individual and special. Including a couple pictures of Barb. She was 15-17 when she died.

I’ve had 9 rescues. Each has been their own challenge and special in their own way. Although it is never easy to say goodbye to a beloved pup, I maintain that serving as their advocate then is part of the promise we make to love them. Today I said goodbye to Barb. We miss her already.

Enjoy your new fur baby. I’m on my 8th rescue (but my first that is a corgi mix). If mine is any indication, she’ll keep you hopping. I find my girl is smart, stubborn and very cuddly and loving. I adore her.

I adopted a treeing walking coonhound who had been kept in an outdoor pen for the first 8-10 years of her life. She was easy to house train and learned to walk on a leash. She still enjoys being outside - but enjoys being spoiled in the house as well. Good luck deciding on your new pup.

She is so cute. I adopted a Corgi/beagle mix a couple years ago (Harley) and I love her so much.
