On the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, I stood with Texas legislators fighting gerrymandered maps—a blatant power grab to silence voters. They’ll try it in SC too. We must fight for fair maps & every voice to be heard. 🗳✊🏾 #VRA60 #FairMaps #SCPol

At @NCSLorg talking #Census2030. The count decides political maps + billions for our communities.

TX shows how lines can be drawn to silence voices. In 2030, we must ALL be counted & demand fair maps that reflect every community. 🗳️

Today, we honor the brave men & women who gave their lives in service to this nation.

As we reflect, we must also reckon with the reality that many of those freedoms are under threat.

Let us not just honor the fallen with words, but with action. Let us defend the democracy they died to protect.

Last day of session and I couldn’t be prouder to stand alongside these fierce Democratic Senators. This session brought some wins and some losses, but through it all, we fought tirelessly for the people of South Carolina.

Happy Sine Die!
