It's been hard not to feel hopeless/overwhelmed by the governmental chaos. So I'm committing to picking a daily issue + calling my reps every day through @5calls.org. This piece has given me extra focus -- debt ceiling + budget for leverage by the Dems. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/where...

Thanks to all who have checked in. We are doing ok here in SoCal - the two big fires are far away enough from us that we feel safe. Air quality is awful. We are heartbroken for our friends who have lost all their houses + possessions. And grateful to the fire fighters + first responders.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
"The common narrative is that kids learn faster than adults, but if you watch any toddler they spend a large portion of the day attempting things that are on the edge of their ability.

How much time have you spent on the edge of your ability today?"

Hoping LA weather will cooperate and I'll be able to see even just a little bit of this over the next few days.
The Gemini meteor shower peaks between tonight and Thursday.

You could see more than 100 meteors per hour during the moonless night of December 13-14. 🧪
