This should have been my last day of vacation.

I'm too old to make new friends. They just use me as a stand in for when they have nothing better to do or when the people they really care about are busy.

How do you say "that sounds like the lamest ass excuse ever" in a polite way?
All in all it was a nice convention, I walked a lot and was in pain most of the time but I saw what I wanted to see and bought a lot of stuff so it was worth it.
The people though... If I had the money I would go by myself, walk with noise cancelling earbuds and silence my phone.
