some of the tracks in the deltarune OST are literally just 8 sec sfx and id argue some by logic should belong in the OST like church_lw_night.ogg but they can only be heard in-game/via game files.

what is even the criteria for a track to land in the OST??

i remember looking at the replies of the steam community post of oneshot WME coming out on PC and people were like "no native Linux support no money 4 u"

It runs their distro of Linux. I know. But it's not native. The game is only for Windows and they expect us to just use Proton to play it. No. I'm not going to buy games like that based on Proton support.

Don't give me that. I have plenty of games to choose from among the ones with Native Linux Support. Just because most of the POPULAR games are blacklisted by my standard doesn't leave me with plenty of games to enjoy. It certainly cuts out pretty much the vast majority of poorly coded AAA games that are the bread and butter of mainstream gaming culture. I don't even care about most of those games, and I don't like them living rent-free in my head. I'd prefer to enjoy the games that I can enjoy. And it's a shame that 1S:WMe won't be one of them. But I have other games to enjoy. So I'll be fine without it.

yes, it would be nice to have a linux native port of any game, but I wouldn't blame any dev for not porting their games to linux.

linux ports of anything really are notoriously hard to get working for everyone. there are times where you have to do weird workarounds to get a Linux native port of something to fully function, or even open.

OneShot attempted to rectify this by including every single library that the game needs to run (essentially including an entire Linux distro), but that resulted in some people having to delete atleast some of them.

unlike macOS (if devs bother with Metal, otherwise sticking to OpenGL 4.1 which is pretty old) and Windows (pretty much only having to install vc redist and directx which many apps and games already install)

proton with years of development (proton is based on wine, so also wine with decades of development) have already gotten this sorted out.
