Vacation times, time to get some art done I hope, starting off going back to basics a bit with pencil drawing and sketching. Tried my hand at doing Tal in a Norse knot style.

I think the biggest misconception I had when i began my artistic journey was that one day ill be confident and able to blast through art at speed.
Confidence is a beast thats never conquered, its a returning fight. Its why small wins are important to build up. A lesson one relearns over and over.

Weekend back home where I grew up, so quiet in the dales. No city hustle and bustle. Wish it wasn’t on the other side of the country.

Got to bed early, slept in, left work early, come home and have a prepared mean, and Im still just too exhausted to do something meaningful. Bleh.
Maybe I should go to bed even earlier and get art done in the mornings before work instead at this pace of things.

But had like 10 friends and former colleagues end up in limbo because gamedev as an industry is in turmoil and studios shutter left and right.
Guess im stuck for a while longer in this safe haven.

Half a year of getting B12 supplements, and now extra D-vitamins on top of that, feels like my mind is waking up somewhat
While I still struggle with focus and getting stuff done, being able to get to sleep and wake up at 5-6 am sharp feels like something I haven't been able to do since I was a kid

Today.. I overworked a bit, while I know I should not overexert myself with my day job today I actually got into the flow state. And I'm just feeling... happy about it.. Modeling and working on a task that's actually fulfilling again. Its been too long on my previous projects.

I promised myself to be less doom and gloom when opening my bsky account. I think finally switching project and team at work and generally blocking toxic media stuff is having a general positive change.
And it feels more vibrant to be on a platform where our interests show through, less algorithm.
