It's not a matter of autistic people being the only people who need things, while you are a bastion of calm independence. Your needs get met as a matter of course because the system is designed for you. I am asking for a fraction of that energy.

YOU need things explained to you a certain way. YOU need your feelings managed. YOU need people to make eye contact with you when they talk, or you feel uncomfortable. YOU need people to read subtext so you don't have to say the quiet part. Those are YOUR needs and I try to meet them every day.

What they also overlook bc it means needing to interrogate their own behavior: See more and more bi + trans women + other "labled sinful by TERFs" people say they would love to write femslash but the communities are too unsafe and obsessed with purity for them

Unironically scary when so many peoples criteria for "romanticizing" dark subject matter is even just depicting it. Doesn't matter if it's shown in all its realistic darkness, if it's shown as this removed from reality but bad IRL fantasy, or actually said to be good IRL. You can't show it. At all.

Unironically scary when so many peoples criteria for "romanticizing" dark subject matter is even just depicting it. Doesn't matter if it's shown in all its realistic darkness, if it's shown as this removed from reality but bad IRL fantasy, or actually said to be good IRL. You can't show it. At all.
