You don’t buy: go woke, go broke? Not abt centrism per se but identity politics being a big turn off for too many people in the US with little electoral reward. Many reasons for Kamala’s defeat but the perceived ‘wokeness’ felt part of it? (Without wanting to detract from importance of media ability

Not all local authorities are ready for ai today. But there is no excuse for not taking the first step and joining some data up to prevent poor outcomes for residents if you have a budget in the hundreds of millions

Potential for improved outcomes for residents are huge and same with savings ( more cost avoidance than cash able) . Fascinatingly there are likely to be overlaps between these vulnerable groups so can solve multiple issues at once like mark Adam smith in Gateshead

Yes agree. I would point to prevention in local places . Maidstone has prevented homelessness using predictive analytics and Norfolk has done the same for falls. Key is normal services remaining in place and layering ai driven prevention on top

There are real risks but real opportunities too! If we are serious about prevention in public services we need to get serious about data and ai. That can be done safely today. We should be talking about these positive use cases as well.
