Feeling like shit about everything? Nature fixes it! Went on a 2 hour bike ride, where all I could think about was the trail in front of me. Came home feeling so much better. Endorphins and fresh air are a hell of a combo.

Reading The Hobbit with my kiddo, and had forgotten how innocuous the finding of the One Ring was.

Today’s bright spot: volunteered at a food pantry, and as our group was getting ready to leave the volunteer coordinator rolls up with a pallet of boxes and say take as many as you want. Turns out, someone donated 3 pallets of flowers, so I came home with 5 dozen roses.

I know they’re encouraged to write nice things about me for today, but damn, these boys make me proud to be their dad.
MY DAD IS THE BEST Consider yourself lucky if you have a Dad you want to be like. Y you knew my Dad you would agree that deserves a holiday to celebrate him. My Dad is super athletic. He went to the Olympic trials in 2008. He is fit and strong. He can pick me up and 1 am 73 pounds! My Dad gives good advice. When 1 chose what troop to join he told me about them. When George chose to swim my Dad helped him decide and when I wanted to switch pools he told me the pros and cons. Finally my dad is kind. If he ever gets mad he will always apologize later.
