Not my usual day at work today: I was privileged to view the sword of Matthew Flinders thanks to my #fellowship at the State Library of NSW. His brother, Samuel, was the astronomer on the first circumnavigation of Australia, and he is the protagonist of the biography I am currently working on.

I was completely surprised today when I received a special award for volunteering at the @seamuseum.bsky.social (Australian National Maritime Museum) this past year -- what a nice surprise and unexpected recognition for something I love to do! Thank you for nominating me!
