I have a pair of black high waist wide leg pants that I can wear to anything. Dressed with pumps and a nice top for in-person work, dressed down with sneakers for a concert, heeled sandals and a cute top for dates. Took 1 piece.

If you rock a pretty overall cohesive color palette, it should all work fine. I go with neutrals and gold (no gray or pink) and an occasional green.

It also takes away from feeling overwhelmed like you need to completely rebuild. You probably just need a few things. For me it was some non-skinny jeans, some flowy pants, a few crop tops, new loafers and heeled sandals.

Start the rebuild with pieces that are staples with long shelf life (i.e. not overly trendy). Start with just incorporating a few new pieces and you'll be surprised how much of what you have is still good.

Yes, especially since one day you step outside and suddenly all skinny jeans are passe. What's worked for me is starting at the basics. First, if it doesn't fit, it's out. Second, check what you already have so don't duplicate.

I saw him in Chicago, D-3. It was my first show with any of them, so it was quite an experience. I'd thought about going to some of the California shows but didn't; I wish I had! Chicago didn't have any special guests.
