But I hope they realize soon how awful their publicist is at her job and find a new one, because they deserve better. At the very least, they deserve someone willing to put 5 minutes of research into her work.

I feel awful for the authors this publicist represents, because they likely have no idea any of this even happened. None of this is their fault. I hold absolutely 0 ill will toward them and hope they have very successful writing careers, because they genuinely do sound amazing.

One of the friends I told about your authors after receiving your initial email asking to work together bought these authors' books; as soon as I shared your followup email, he immediately returned them.

To be so dismissive when YOU were the one who reached out and wanted to work together is so indescribably unprofessional; you’ve done the exact opposite of your job as a publicist in ensuring I will never work with you or any of the authors you represent.

YOU reached out to ME. I realize I’m an incredibly small creator, and I can even understand if you somehow missed that I run these interviews with my vtuber model and changed your mind. But that’s an incredibly rude way to backtrack after your own negligence in doing your job.

and explain in more detail how the interview would work, I would expect more than a, “Thank you for your interest but the format does not seem like a fit for my clients. Thanks anyway.”

But I assume when a publicist reaches out asking if I could interview some of their authors, they’ve looked into the podcast they’re asking to invite their authors on. At the very least, when I respond with enthusiasm saying I'd LOVE to because the authors' work sounds amazing
