we’ve been over this

we just did this in Massachusetts

they’re not gonna leave, they’ll whine and bitch and moan and eventually this will raise more money than expected because nowhere they go is actually like the place they’re leaving
Billionaires are considering cutting or reducing their ties to California by the end of the year because of a proposed ballot measure that could tax the state’s wealthiest residents.
A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving
It’s uncertain whether the proposal will reach the statewide ballot in November, but some billionaires like Peter Thiel and Larry Page may be unwilling to take the risk.

“The arc of moral history is long but it bends towards justice, right? But it doesn’t bend by itself, people have to bend it, YOU have to bend it. And there’s gonna be other people trying to bend it the other fucking way. But we’re not gonna let that happen!” 💖🙌

“States don’t have to grant corporations the power to spend in politics. In fact, they could decide not to give corporations that power.”
If you’re looking for something to do, start working on overturning citizens united in your state. States control the power corporations have. Take their political power away with a ballot initiative. Here’s how: open.substack.com/pub/robertre...
How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

At first glance, I thought this was a chart of job losses in November.

No. Just the loss of sea ice since 1989.

Are we ready to take back our country from pedophile-protecting climate change deniers who are also tanking our economy with terrible economic policy?

Please?!

Some updates from “the lab”! Added a sign to the door for fun, got neon markers for the dry erase board, added some backlighting (scavenged from a lamp) and made the “solarpunk” frame for the Voyager poster. Next up — put the dry erase board on a stand and add wheels! (Then to the actual lab work…)
