I would actually bet in the 35k RW that is still new. 800m record is pretty darn fast/hard to break.

Good questions. Prior to 1990s it was 100% no loss of contact bit elites at that point w changes in technique were almost all lifting a bit (if video'd) but not to human eye. So rule changed to no perceptible loss of contact by judge (still hard). Electronics coming to help walkers n judges soon.
