Check out "Deviant Sexualities in the Context of Empire" by Menéndez-Antuña. Revelation is an equal opportunity hard-hitter, challenging the reader's "ideological, religious, political, and economical commitments." If the symbology's shoe fits one thing, it doesn't mean it can't fit another.

There's an absolutely brutal, uh, joke in the Quran:

No worries ~ As you may suspect I have a whole list of unorthodox explanations for why things are worded so. It's important that people greatly harmed by religious ideas be able to achieve a full break. I guess my strategy is to help people resisting capitalism et al to see scripture as an safe ally

Seemingly, Jesus addresses queer people in 3 Nephi: "Behold, I know your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which John, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me. Therefore, more blessed are ye, for ye shall never taste of death. [...]"
