Ticket prices would rise, I only take a small free bag, don't speedy board and sit wherever I'm allocated so my ticket price would go up because airlines certainly won't drop their profits

That's very simplistic, we as a country have squandered so much in both tax revenues and cheap privatisations that simply raising the tax burden is not the sole answer
