NGC7380 the Wizard nebula in constellation Cepheus. Discovered in 1787 by Caroline Herschel. I shot this with mono camera and SHO narrow band filters. Processed with the Hubble palette scheme.

My first shot with my mono astro camera. This is with HA filter. I’ll have to collect the others O3 and S on other nights, to construct a color narrow band image. This is the Eastern Veil nebula NGC 6992 a Supernova remnant in Cygnus. Telescope AT 65EDQ and ASI 533mm camera.

Finally got my chance to see The Crane Wives in concert at the Meijer Garden Amphitheater in Grand Rapids last night. They were fantastic, the best concert I’ve seen in years. Well worth the 2.5 hour drive each way.

Sunday I went to visit a giant Sequoia in Manistee Michigan. It’s a 77 year old 116 foot tall baby by California standards. But the biggest east of the Rockies.

So our Saturday campsite is on Lake Superior in sight of the Manistique East Breakwater Light. One more light off my list, there are 129 in Michigan the most of any state so I have my work cut out for me 😉

It looks like there is a new TRON movie coming out in October. Saw the preview. I don’t know how they got the light cycles into the real world. I know how I got mine I 3D printed it. ;) (NIN is featured on the soundtrack!)
