I just realized I made it about me to relate. That was rude.

You deserve all the patience from everyone, especially yourself. You will do amazingly at anything you do given the time and energy.

In late 2019 I had a brain infection that led to a small stroke. The ensuing antibiotic nuke destroyed my immune system. It's still not fully back yet and I am constantly sick. I'm still in my "pass" but I'm working through it. I'll be okay eventually.

My exercise will be animating to some lines by Hogarth from the Iron Giant. His sound and delivery really fits with this style and it will be fun practice to get my sea legs back.

For obvious reasons, I won't be using this model for anything NSFW and I highly encourage others not to as well. I WILL however be doing some animation practice with it as well as examining how to create other rigs with similar methodologies.

I have that happen when I run the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, which was made in Unreal. It's not even from Steam, it's an XBox Game Pass title but every time it fires up SteamVR.

Got to get my steps in for the day!

This calls for science! I'll get my tape measure and take all the measurements you need to verify!

Not any place specifically. I wrote this as an abstract philosophical scenario drawing parallels to generative AI and a society that enforces profit and compliance over artistry and defiance.

I hate marketing. I learned it to do some jobs but the more I learned, the more I didn't want to build my career around it. It all boils down to profit and most tactics are manipulative.

Just gross.

The theory is if you make something appeal more to one demographic than the other and then superficially create a counterpart on the other side, you will get more sales than if you stayed in the middle. Division creates energy. Energy can be turned into profit.

According to data, Celsius's design is currently testing very well with both men and women. The design is pleasant and informative. This is how you market something that serves a purpose. But if you want to focus on gender you can skew data to mean different things.
November 17, 2025 at 2:42 PM
What's more is the "hype" around it fuels market responses that exacerbate the problem! "Oh! Monster is targeting females? We should do the same because they must know something we don't!"

In children, there was a very strong bias. However, studies showed that the distribution was much more even in children who were allowed to choose what they liked instead of parents choosing for them. Parental influence was a major factor in "locking-in" gender identities. We need to fix that.

What's more, for over a decade, consumer testing found that among adults, gender-typing had little affect on overall appeal. Cleverness, aesthetics and legibility had the most affect regardless of gender.
November 17, 2025 at 2:27 PM
I do package/logo design and it is maddening how tone-deaf corporate designers are. So many of the smaller design firms and independent designers have great ideas and are actively working to dissolve the toxic gender-typing of product designs and the old executives at the top pull crap like this.

You can no longer speak.

Your last idea, your legacy, is an impassioned plea regarding the innate human need for creativity, individuality and purpose. It was used, unattributed, in a commercial for the company that owns all the words to inspire others to use their service.
November 17, 2025 at 1:22 PM
You take your complaints to the public and the platform deems you are problematic. Your peers agree as they are succeeding in this system, for now. You are banned from the platform everyone uses to speak which is owned by the company who owns all the words. You are shut out of the entire system.
November 17, 2025 at 1:22 PM
You try to complain but you don't pay enough to matter. You don't own the words after all and you agreed to the terms that anything you think into the system can be used by them to improve the experience for all.
November 17, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Imagine being full of new ideas that would bring you recognition and needed support but the moment you go to speak them yourself, the systems have ingested them, offered them to those that pay for the premium service and your ideas become theirs before you even have the chance to open your mouth.
