Opus 4.5 has been wonderful. Though Sonnet models are great too. Claude has been the my go to. I found it really useful not just with coding but also with admin work extracting informations and populating tables. It’s been saving my loads of time on tedious tasks.

Our study provides critical insights into the genetic basis of alpha-cypermethrin resistance in Anopheles funestus, offering practical tools for resistance monitoring and supporting the development of more effective vector control strategies in the face of evolving insecticide resistance.

Our preprint provides a set of candidate genetic variants that can serve as robust markers for monitoring alpha-cypermethrin resistance. Additionally, we introduce a rapid and cost-effective method for identifying resistance loci in field populations.

n this study, we also demonstrated that existing DNA-based assays, originally developed to monitor permethrin resistance, are effective for detecting resistance to alpha-cypermethrin, underscoring a predisposition toward resistance against newly introduced insecticide chemistries.

Alpha-cypermethrin, a type II pyrethroid, is increasingly used in insecticide-treated nets (ITNs), including formulations combined with piperonyl butoxide (PBO) and in chlorfenapyr-based Interceptor® G2 (IG2) nets, to improve efficacy against resistant mosquito populations.

By sequencing more than 500 mosquitoes, both individually and in pools, we detected a quantitative trait locus (QTL) linked to alpha-cypermethrin resistance, referred to as rap QTL.

Here is another example www.nature.com/articles/s42.... It might not be related to delay in publishing but I find it interesting that Hero correction+flyer was not produced for real D. melanogaster and HG002. It out preformed Dechat in arbidopsis. Regardless kudos to Dechat for being a CPU only.
Repeat and haplotype aware error correction in nanopore sequencing reads with DeChat - Communications Biology
DeChat is a novel error correction tool for Nanopore R10 reads (<2% error), combining de Bruijn graphs and variant-aware alignment to preserve repeats and haplotypes while reducing errors up to 100...
