At our 1st meeting with 8th-grade student leaders, 2 girls shared that they joined to help their brothers, who’d been taught not to have feelings. Since social-emotional learning is central to our work, we ask: How are you helping the boys in your life recognize and express a full range of emotions?
Who Said Boys Can't Have Feelings?
Why do boys seem to have so much trouble expressing their emotions, and what can adults do to help?

This is the 1st official week of marathon training! I am about to run hundreds of miles to raise support for
@takebackthehalls.bsky.social

I am hoping to match each week's miles with donations. This week I will be running 12 miles. I would love it if 12 people donated $12 this week.

Oftentimes, people are hesitant to believe survivors because the person is “someone who’d never do such a thing.” This narrative is invalidating, harmful and causes people to not get support. It allows people who have caused harm to avoid accountability and continue the cycle of violence.

Thank you Hernandez Middle School for having TBTH at Report Card Pickup Day! We had the opportunity to connect with parents & students on how to have healthy, important conversations about dating and relationships. Younger siblings had fun naming their emotions with the Inside Out characters. Fun!

Jealousy is a hot topic of discussion with the students of TBTH. It can be a tough emotion to navigate, but it doesn’t have to control you. In healthy relationships, trust and respect are key. You deserve love that makes you feel safe, valued, and supported. #HealthyRelationships
