And then continued to write what happens the morning after, as if there actually would be a morning after, as if this actually happened! Which it can’t, it would mess up things later in the book- not to mention change THE WHOLE REST OF THE BOOK 😣

Same! I almost exclusively handwrite my drafts now, bc it's so much easier to get the words flowing.

I think my handwriting speed is only a little slower than typing.. but then I have to count the words, which can take 30+ min for high wc days 😩 (Yes, I'm obsessive & want to know the exact count)

Same! I almost exclusively worldbuild as I go. "Uh, how should this work? Time to do a bunch of research!"

It is a good time of year! Esp when you've got November novel writing to keep you busy between the holidays 😆

Ooh, that's another one of my faves. I used to love making pumpkin pie from scratch (from an actual pumpkin) 🎃

Though I guess it could be a sad or somber holiday. Something to think about. I don't get into the holiday spirit much IRL anymore, so I usually don't even think about holidays when writing fantasy.

*Including, sadly, the scene at Castle Caran where Ubet is on top. But it will be available as a bonus scene, and the actual Castle Caran scene turned out really good imo, altho completely different.

Now I just have to figure out how to continue and wrap it up- so that’ll be tomorrow’s pantsing adventure (well, technically today by now)

But I’m really happy with today’s writing. It was one of those wonderful pantsing surprises- when something happens that you never saw coming, and it turns out amazing
