These have been nice on a gas range–bananas foster always comes out well! As for mac & cheese, the recipe we make is baked in the oven, so your mileage may vary... but the big pot boils water and then you can put pasta into it until Albert Dentey calls you.

Same here, though my ZK is in Obsidian, and I don't keep it up as much as I did while I was a student. I always see the value in it when I remember to organize and link atomic notes, though!

Oh yeah, when it comes to notes I always rewrite in my own words and do my own editing/synthesis. That's the only way to become comfortable with the material.
Sometimes I need to solve a problem and the cognitive debt is an acceptable risk, or I need a tertiary source overview. AI can help there.

If you ever want to buy a pie or sheet cake just for yourself, all you have to do is buy a "thinking of you" or "condolences" card to go with it. Then if people pay attention to what you're buying, they'll judge you as a compassionate, generous person. Problem solved!

Or, the 90s were really peaceful. You'd have moments of solitude where you could actually reflect on what you think and how you feel. There was more space to let imagination run wild, generating more creative ideas than you could ever pursue. Nowadays, solitude is almost impossible to find.

I was once told by an engineering manager that not having a bachelors degree at all (at the time) made my skill mysteriously tantalizing, like magic or inborn talent. 😑
("How did you learn to do this stuff?" The same way as anyone else: by doing it a whole lot. I have a computer at home, too.)

A confusing shame. What does this even mean for WhoSampled? Is Spotify planning to update the algo to recommend related tracks based on the tracks sharing sampled material?
