99% of people came here in need of a twitter alternative, the reason bluesky has such a negative reputation & squandered its potential is because they won't act on this. not that it has to be twitter 2.0, but it should be a *usable* social media unless you're strictly using it as an art gallery.

this would be fine in its own right if they gave enough of a shit to develop or flesh out the platform any further—and if they listened to user feedback in the slightest—but it feels like they hardly do anything with the needs of their audience in mind.

bluesky originated in 2019, it's been 6ish years and it is still plagued with fundamental issues that make it a lousy excuse of a social media platform because that is not what its developers even view it as—to them it's merely a cute little gimmick of decentralized technology
