Possibly the best depiction I've ever seen of the inner turmoil of being a closeted teenage boy, externalized. The execution of the horror set-pieces and allegory are outstanding, and the animation is consistently impressive. 10/10 highly rec

A surprisingly fun and empathetic take on the "society fighting monsters" genre that manages to avoid becoming super dark while keeping the stakes high. It's refreshing to see a shonen protagonist in his thirties, and a cast that actually likes each other.

Second season is stronger by having way less fanservice and taking more risks in terms of visual story presentation. Knocks it out of the park with both vibes and characters, and nails fandom in a way I rarely see achieved in fiction.

A really fun show that does a really good job fleshing out it's characters and allowing them to drive the plot, while still allowing for a lot of interesting worldbuilding. Manages to stay lighthearted while also getting very dark at times.

The second season lives up to its brutal reputation without losing its sense of fun. The fight scenes are the highlight, but I tended to enjoy the character introspection stuff more. The final episode felt very janky.

The film adds a surprising amount of gravitas and stakes that the main show hasn't had for a while, and the new characters are charming enough that I hope we'll somehow see them again.

A very satisfying conclusion to the franchise that doesn't just settle for wrapping up existing storylines, but exploring new ones. Leslie Jordan in particular gets so much more to do in this one, and the way it's shot makes the world feel so much bigger.

A really charming show that isn't always the funniest but is extremely watchable, and it's a delight to see so many talented established performers showcase themselves. The narrative story in episode five was a standout for me.

A solid expansion of the film, but it feels somewhat constrained by being a prequel. Certain storylines feel too beholden to the film (like how Ty's relationship plays out), while others deviate entirely. Rue McClanahan is criminally underused.

A film that does an impressive job of balancing a fun and almost surreal atmosphere with the realities of being an out queer person in rural Australia. It feels both ahead of it's time but also timeless. I see why this is such a hit.

A mostly satisfying conclusion to the major character arcs of the series that allows the audience to live in Mafuyu and Ritsuka's heads as they sort things out. Was very pleasantly surprised that certain side characters got nice conclusions as well.
