Orthopedic infections doc.
It’s getting ridiculous the arms race in what makes a great candidate. Why are programs asking so much research from students and applicants?

I think it’ll be best if there are comments sections below the article where they can publish their responses.

It’s so amazing to see that basically all studies in this area shows the same conclusion

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, why can’t CDC and NIH folks attend? Even if it’s not in official capacity?

Is there even any literature definitively concluding that immunocompromised patients need more antibiotics? #IDSky

I watched one of your videos!

Can you tell more about it? How is it to be translated in practice?

The perfect reason why the federal Medicaid should no longer exist and be dismantled. Medicaid should be fully state-level program.

This is why I don’t touch dogs in the U.S. anymore. Rabies don’t manifest until weeks or months later. Way after you even remember encountering a dog licking you. And when symptoms start, it’s universally fatal. #IDSky

There’s been a proliferation of opinion articles in medical journals. I don’t think it’s the best place for those.

I think this is an opportunity for ID physicians to broaden our reach and strengthen our role. There is a clear vacuum, and by stepping in to fill parts of it, we can emerge stronger than before. The words of Maarva come to mind—they reflect the moment we find ourselves in.

It shouldn’t be under the federal government.

I use “appropriate” some use “optimize” or a more neutral “switch to” without putting an adjective before the antibiotic.
August 27, 2025 at 4:35 PM
The language of “narrow” or “broad” is counterproductive in antibiotic stewardship. By describing antibiotics like this, we are inadvertently telling providers that some antibiotics are inherently inferior.

Yet, academics are not using the same argument of “Conflicts of Interest” in combatting this.
Another failure of messaging. #IDSky

Is there a new Covid vaccine?
August 23, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Do people suppress after the fungemia? I wonder if this paper addressed that.
August 23, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Even as an ID doc, I’m already confused. Are there new updated COVID shots? #IDSky
