It is not through electoralism that you're gonna educate the American working class on the need for class struggle. In fact, you're more likely to deradicalize them that way, which is the whole point of it from a ruling class perspective.

???

Am I arguing with a 12 year old?
November 23, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Far from that. A market gives more decision power to actors based on their capital availability.

It's the opposite of a democratic system.
November 23, 2025 at 7:40 PM
I should specify: scientific, metric-based, democratic decision-making.
November 23, 2025 at 7:38 PM
Democracy? If we can wrestle control of our decision making systems away from private interests at least.
November 23, 2025 at 7:35 PM
None of those count in the definition of useless crap so I have no idea what that's about.

Once again reducing production is not about reducing everything, and especially not useful technology. It's about making sure our production matches our needs.
November 23, 2025 at 7:25 PM
It was already prioritizing slop culture through algorithm so I am not so surprised, but it is indeed quite obnoxious. Barely usable platform.
November 23, 2025 at 2:04 PM
I am not pro market, only arguing in the sense that we currently have a market economy. The goal for me is to phase out of our reliance on money as a means to direct decision making.

In the short term there is a lot of changes that could be made to reduce unnecessary production even in a market eco
November 23, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Yes because less total volume of revenue and less sales. We wouldn't need to employ as many people to maintain a train network as we currently do constantly producing new cars and replacing them.

That's not a crazy concept that artificial scarcity is more profit than efficiency.
November 23, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Either way it's irrelevant whether the decisions are taken by "private" or "public" actors since they both use the same means of action. The point is that our current decisions don't prioritize producing efficiently, and instead maximize total production, regardless of need.
November 23, 2025 at 1:25 PM
That's how it currently works, in a sense. The state defines the market through law.

Whether you have private actors buying governments to redirect public funding/regulations to themselves or governments directing that funding/regulations publicly is what you're arguing I assume.
November 23, 2025 at 1:23 PM
With efficient investment in public transportation and train networks we wouldn't need cars at all for 90% of our needs.

It's not even about what type of cars, cars themselves are a redundant tech kept alive through lobbying, and because more efficient methods would lead to less growth, less profit
November 23, 2025 at 1:16 PM
When you say such outlandish things as "luxury is a necessary industry to develop manufacturing" we can't have a conversation about economy. You're just saying whatever suits your delusions, I can't help you there.
November 23, 2025 at 1:14 PM
Private insurance is a completely redundant industry that has absolutely no purpose when you have a government with public budgets.

The only reason you think this way is capitalist propaganda.

Hard to have a conversation with people who defend lies.
November 23, 2025 at 1:08 PM
What about luxury products, merch, ads, insurance, AI, all sorts of domains that employ lots of people yet produce nothing of value.

Not everything made under capitalism is necessary to life. In fact, only a small part of total production really is.

Having to "earn a living" is a mindset deeply baked into our entire society, and it really shouldn't be
November 23, 2025 at 11:56 AM
Because if they didn't they would have to face justice for what they did.

It's a big blackmail ring.

You guys deify your celebrities way too much if that's the most significant event in your life.

Everything I've learned about Denmark lately has been against my will.

Nazi society.
November 23, 2025 at 4:55 AM
We have outlawed toxic substances before without drastically reducing the efficiency of food production. Thinking they are necessary sounds like propaganda produced by the people who profit from them.
November 23, 2025 at 4:06 AM
Food production is efficient, we make more than we need.

It's all the other useless crap that we need to reduce.
November 23, 2025 at 4:02 AM
I doubt the constitution is gonna survive this era. Either way fascism is gonna get rid of it, or revolutionary transformation of society will.

There is no going back to the status quo.
