Despite it all they get along perfectly. In fact, Pongo is Pinga's world, and he wants to be more person like for him, without realising that him being a robot makes Pongo like him even more. They are a nice duo and contrast each other well without falling into arguments.
Also they kill people 💜

He prefers adults, so he can learn and copy humans better. Deep down he just wants to be human and made out of flesh, contrasting with his friend Pongo, who hides it well but has grown disgusted with human biology (for redacted reasons).

It helps that kids also view him as a real person!
Pinga (front, balloon) on the other hand is fascinated with humanity and what makes a person. Pongo is excellent at looking and behaving alive, whereas Pinga struggles. That doesn't stop him from observing.

Pongo (stairs) is programmed to flirt with guests, and one of his 3 main directives in to entertain. He loves entertaining, but has grown to hate the adult oriented role he must play at the park. With children his flirting programming is deactivated, so he prefers to clown around with them.
