LIKES: MUSIC (I play flutes, 7-string nylon guitar, and sing dreadfully); also LANGUAGES (En, Fr, Cat, Es) and the Great Outdoors - as long as it's not raining.
DISLIKES: Mud
We get episodes of it in the South of France. There are queues at the car wash for days afterwards!

A professional would likely use a power tool - or at least a longer manual screwdriver to help stay straight (no reason to use a short one, he's not in a confined space)
Looks like Hegseth can't be trusted with either of those 🤔

And in a way, it's "better" isn't it - avoiding he ambiguity of his, hers, theirs that comes with SEU/SEVA(seua)

Entèsos, però és precisament per això que em pica la curiositat! I és molt ben escrit - ja sóc atrapat 🙂

I used Proton for years, attracted by the encryption and "own domain" handling. I liked it a lot, but had a few quibbles (an SPF oddity, mandatory spam-filtering..).
In the end, sorry to say, I switched to Google Workspace 🫢, which works perfectly! But at least I got rid of Outlook & Google drive.

Agreed ! An alternative is to buy a "smart" TV that supports "dumb" (basic) mode, where all the spying is turned off. Connect it to the internet periodically for updates, but otherwise leave it disconnected. The TCL/Google combination handles this well. Quite happy with ours!

Already one of the World's best-selling TV brands, TCL (The Creative Life) is now one of the fastest growing consumer electronics brands in North America. Founded over 30 years ago, TCL prides itself ...

I guess they mean that Trump can be counted on to pardon them all 🤔

Good for you! It costs some money - but as they argue, "free" isn't free in any real sense. I went for the USD 10/pcm option because it has everything I need - and there's no meter running. Bona sort!

Totally agree. The models provided are also smaller/cheaper that the big high street ones - but I like the idea of having a selection. And they do produce different results (not radical opposites, but condensing things differently)

A quick plug for KAGI which I started subscribing to recently! One of the "cleanest" browsers / search engines around, with some surprising extras: a choice of competing AI models + a translate facility providing alternative translations and commentary on the nuances. Better then Google IMHO!

Agreed - but these publications are separate from the normal subscription newspaper. Here's a example page which contains info on Exchange Rates you would struggle to find elsewhere: a distillation of the law itself, plus government answers to questions and evolved custom and practice.

I should confess that I do get some help from the Connexion guide" It's in English - which is unnecessary from my POV - but it does a good job of breaking down and simplifying the logic, plus documenting custom and practice. Well worth it !

I don't think the British taxation system would ever help you to reduce your tax bill either. Quite the reverse!

I do my own in France, unaided. It is horribly complicated - but seems fundamentally fair? In one of my first declarations, I got to the end - and the system thought for a moment, then said "If you unticked box '2OP', you would save X'000 in tax. Shall we do that?". I'm still getting over the shock!
