I tried it it was fine. Most of the conversations I saw on mastadon were about how great mastadon is. A nerds domain as it’s not quite as intuitive. They prioritized being a network of networks over usability, great academically but isn’t a draw for your every day user who just wants to see memes.

Adoption is not very good, especially among enterprise networks. If you want to host a service that’s accessible to everyone it’ll still have to support ipv4.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?
That the internet is out of IP addresses (like phone numbers) and the only way to get them is to buy them from someone else.

xxxAI later goes bankrupt after the cheap AI they slapped on it starts making offensive comments about the president and he shuts it down making their shares worth nothing.
