A semi-truck collision is blocking 3 lanes on NB I-5 at Mounts Road in DuPont. The left lane remains open. Traffic is backed up past the Nisqually River Bridge. The truck was carrying live chickens. Expect delays while we work to clean up and clear the area.

Heads up if you're traveling EB SR 512 in #Puyallup. We're repairing guardrail that was damaged in an earlier collision near S Meridian St. The left lane remains closed. Traffic is backing up to Fruitland Ave. Expect delays.

The SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge is blocked in both directions for a major collision mid-span. We expect this to be a lengthy closure. Consider alternate routes at this time.

UPDATE2: We're seeing a five mile backup on SB I-5 at New York Ave in Lakewood due to an earlier collision. We are working to reopen the road as quickly as possible. Expect delays and backups in the area for the next couple of hours. Delay travels if possible.

King tides + heavy rains = roadway flooding in coastal areas. @nws.noaa.gov is telling us to expect heavy rains coupled with king tides on the coast Wednesday and Thursday.

An earlier collision on SR 20 at mp 8, south of Port Townsend, is now fully blocking the highway while state patrol investigates the incident. Expect delays - IRT is enroute and will set up a detour.

Heads up south Tacoma and Parkland! The left two lanes remain blocked on NB I-5 near S 72nd St due to an earlier collision. We’re seeing traffic backing up onto SR 512. Tow is on the way.

On SR 161 north of Eatonville, we are wrapping up fish passage work with landscaping. The old blocking culverts were replaced in September with a fish-friendly box culvert.

The semi-truck has been hauled away. Just a bit more cleanup work and we'll open lanes. Until then expect backups to continue on NB I-5 approaching Port of Tacoma Road in Tacoma/Fife. The right lane and the ramp are still blocked.

Expect congestion on NB I-5 through Tacoma/Fife. The right lane and the ramp from Port of Tacoma Road is blocked for a semi-truck crash. This will take quite some time to clear. Current backup is 3 miles.

One more night of full closures on the SR 104 Hood Canal Bridge. Contractors are wrapping up repairs to the moveable bridge's steel tracks. The bridge will close to all traffic 8 p.m. tonight (9/25), and will reopen by 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning (9/26).

Heads up Eatonville! We're shifting traffic on Meridian E (SR 161) to a freshly paved bridge near 280th St E around noon tomorrow (9/25). Temporary traffic signals will remain in place while we finish the bridge & stream restoration.

Here's a look at the expansion joint repair we're doing on the driving surface of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge! We just poured the concrete and it needs time to cure. You might see lane closures when there seems to be little or no activity in the work zone.
