For the longest time, I thought that freedom of the press was actually possible thanks to capitalism; they make their own money, they live and die by their quality.

Then the Tabloidism and pseudoscience of the web ate away at the value of credibility. In a weakened state, they were bought up.

I mean.. sure. We dump so much runoff into it that there are huge deadzones. Global warming has turned it into a breeding ground for bigger hurricanes. It will soon enough rise a few feet and start consuming large parts of the southern us. Why not "The Gulf of What Used to be America"

I'd never bought an MRE until that day. It then occurred to me that our own president would let us suffer through a disaster without the decency to even toss us a roll of paper towels from a tarmac.

I figured it may be a robo flying taxi service. If they are super sillent, it might be using horizontal rotor blades. (Like the blowers in an ac unit). It's relatively new tech, but not mind blowingly so.

The day after Musk fired the moderators, I went onto Twitter to look up some Rivian news. The first video was an anime girl on a cell phone.. then into frame came a man "releaving" himself onto the phone.

"Ah.. It's $40b 4chan now."

I deleted my account.
