My dog is all of us today.

On the same day my mother-in-law got a $300 bill for medication Aetna Insurance doesn’t cover, she received this box of “goodies” from them. Her reaction: “Look, anti-slip socks! Because if I fell, they’d have to actually pay a bill!” Insurance in America is bullshit.

My mother-in-law’s calendar is soooo accurate.

The #bombcyclone took out a tree in our N. Seattle neighborhood. Lots of folks still without power. 😥

I’ve been unusually stressed and on edge this week. Every inch of my body feels tense. Then I remembered: 12 years ago, mom’s apartment building was destroyed by a hash oil-fueled fire. She passed on the 19th. My body never forgets this. Put up the tree early today to try to fast forward. ❤️

First post? It’s obvs gonna be my dog. This is Freya. She’s a Cattle Dog, Poodle, Shih-tzu mix (aka: a mutt) who was rescued from the Gordon County Animal Shelter in Georgia in 2015. She’s mad at the government and has gas from her new food, but she’s the kindest, sweetest pup you’ll ever meet. ❤️
