Good news! The logic board for my SE/30 #MARCHintosh is fine. The bad news, the ROM is the problem. I am trying to determine what is wrong with the ROM. Fortunately I do have an extra aftermarket ROM from @caymacvintage.bsky.social that I can use to test the logic board and continue with a recap.
ROM Front, has a label that indicates it's an original ROM from Japan. Date code indicates it is from 1988. The ROM stick looks very clean and the pins appear to be ok. ROM stick rear, show that the pins appear to be ok and the stick appears to be completely clean. I assume that chip damage could explain the issues. Will test further.

It's March and you know what that means! I have a new SE/30 project for #MARCHintosh. This poor guy is in a simasimac state so I will need to debug the ROM and some traces to get him up and going again.

A simasimac SE/30 on my workbench with me probing the ROM slot verifying the CPU is alive. GOOD NEWS! The CPU is alive!
