Would you level this same criticism at @volts.wtf?

This is common slang in the energy industry. There's plenty to criticize Altman for without resorting to stupid strawmen.

Except for an usher who goes around every theater and shines a flashlight in people's faces and says "hey, listen!"

Having a 50th vote for the IRA, even with Manchin's bullshit song and dance and shitty grifting amendments, was still a hell of a lot better than having 49 votes and not even getting to set the agenda.

Nope, squootable is now the official term. No takebacksies. Time to update the textbooks.

Even if AI companies sign deals to pay through the nose for power, they'll lobby PUCs year after year to lower their rates. They'll claim they can't afford the rates they're paying, that they're paying more than their fair share, etc. And they have lots of money to sink into that effort.

Putting it right below the health bar might get it noticed. It kinda wants to be a different scale, so it's not perfect, but something to play with...

And those same people typically actively try to manipulate the narrative to create exactly that situation.

With markets like this, they may not be betting on Cuomo to win. If there's some news moment that shifts the narrative, it could move the market briefly and you could sell "Cuomo wins" shares for 10x what you bought them for even if it went from 99% mamdani to 90% mamdani for 5 minutes.

"instead of finding a way to reduce mundane work, it reinforces it"

It literally does reduce mundane work. That's the whole premise of the argument. You're arguing that reducing mundane work is bad because it will make people hate it less, so they won't work to reduce it.
November 4, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Ah yes, the eminently convincing, "making stuff better is bad actually" argument.

First time visiting Mt fey? You shouldn't need to spend silk on healing. That's all the hint I'll leave. (And no, you're not missing an item to prevent cold damage)

I remember hearing about some devs trying to prevent people from streaming their story heavy, walking simulator style games, saying that watching someone play was essentially the same as playing and would undermine sales.

How do they decide to make it per curiam? Does the opinion writer just get to declare that they're speaking for all three?

Tattooing your entire finger green would certainly be a statement. Just putting an arrow above the first knuckle seems like plenty to me.
