Aren't they equivalent of an escalade in length or something along those lines? Anyways at least Indy was interesting

Don't worry supposedly Cadillac F1 is going to reveal their intended livery at Miami! So there should be at least one modern depressing livery for the race weekend!

US Naval aircraft carriers and losing a multi-million dollar aircraft at sea, name a more iconic duo

We need a fund raiser for Stef to have a track prepped LLV. It's what the Pope and Grumman would have wanted

And Davey's wife Ellisa?

It's hard to say really but in the US atleast, it's used in the ecosport, and Bronco sport if memory serves correctly though revised, and they are in the cheap car pricing where neglect can be common. But I Do Cars has torn down very well taken care of examples that had the belt snap

Something I've noticed is the "little" engines in modern line ups (especially in US pickup applications) are proving to be less problematic than their bigger cylinder count or displacement options. GM 2.7 turbo 4 and Ford 2.7 ecoboost V6 seem to have less online chatter of reliability than the V8s
March 31, 2025 at 10:54 AM
The only things I've seen from IDC that seem genuinely avoidable are N63 BMW twin turbo V8s (even though those still get into the low 100k range) and Kia/Hyundai Theta 2 engines. The 1L ecoboost gets an honorable mention, but that's a different can of worms
March 31, 2025 at 10:02 AM
Things I've noticed is that modern engines that tend to have problems new will be due to manufacturing issues (Toyota truck V6s and GM 6.2 V8s having premature main bearing issues), or there being parts/supplier issues that then make the car completely unreliable to the eyes of the internet.

That's just how S10/blazer paint came from the factory

This is the journalistic testing I really need when I'm deciding to purchase my next 300k supercar!

Rav 4s imo do the overly responsive and no feedback through the electric rack except at parking lot speed where it feels like the system weights up for no real reason

I feel like super direct just off-center modern steering feels dangerously twitchy compared to older cars that were vague off-center but more comfortable to do micro-adjustments at higher speeds

Can't forget about the Hawk Tuahcoin financial disaster of 2008. A deeply sad and slobbery time for us all globally

GM laughs as their doing very slow donuts in the beast, meanwhile secret service drivers are having to clear snow from the headlights of the CT every 10 miles

Rip if you have to evacuate from the rear seat area and the doors won't open, the windows are too small to be able to climb out of, especially with any real ballistic glass. Idk how much up armored suburbans and tahoes are, but I'm sure their still cheaper than a tacticool polygon

I think my biggest thing with the Nordchliefe laps is the track isn't fully representative of what normal road courses drive like?
Nordchliefe is a very high average speed course with quite a bit of focus on high aero, but you can compensate somewhat with high hp vs a track like the Glen
February 12, 2025 at 6:19 PM
I see so much of "where's the ring time tho" like it's the only track that exists and that you can just go do a record lap attempt whenever the teams feel like it, no logistics or cost involved whatsoever, nope
