Climate Change

We must address climate change NOW.

• Soft Coup
o We are in the middle of a soft coup: an illegal overthrow of our government without violence or the use of the military.

• Unqualified Heads of Federal Agencies
o Trump nominated persons to lead government agencies such as Kash Patel, Robert F. Kennedy Junior, and Tulsi Gabbard, who are unqualified.
• Possible Recession
o Economists predict the Trump tariffs are likely to cause inflation and a possible recession.

• Dismantling of Federal Government Agencies
o The February 2025 budget bill with the potential cut of $880 billion to Medicaid was unacceptable.
o The new head of the Department of Education, predicts it will be eliminated. Let’s not weaken education.

• Firings
o Trump fired the FBI leadership in New York and Washington D.C.
o Elon Musk is haphazardly dismantling government agencies.
o The former head of Social Security Administration predicts the agency will be unable to function due to staff cuts and will stop sending out checks.

• Pardons
o Trump pardoned all the January 6th insurrectionists who were charged and/or convicted, many who were found guilty of attacking police officers.
o Trump pardoned Rod Blagojevich who was convicted of trying to sell his Senate seat and Ross Ulbricht who sold narcotics online.

• Department of Justice
o Attorney General Pam Bondi is eliminating the election interference group at the DOJ.
o She has eliminated meaningful enforcement of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which puts prohibitions on secret lobbying by foreigners and foreign countries.

• International Relations
o Trump favors nations, such as Russia, with nuclear weapons pointed at the United States.
o Trump is siding with Russia instead of the democratic county of Ukraine, essentially alleging that Ukraine invaded itself.
