that's me as a small artist with hurt pride talking, though, since I hardly ever got interactions about my music to begin with and thus lack the feedback of a fanbase.

maybe such is an irrational thought, but sometimes hearing whether someone else likes the thing you make IS nice.

what also hasn't helped is the sheer commercial failure of Rev2, I won't lie. I know it's been a long time since I released (2021!) but it felt like a slap in the face to have something I had been so impassioned about for four straight years be thrown to the wayside like it was slop.

who knows, maybe this'll change with time as I feel myself regaining my joys with composing again after Rev2. can't say for certain in this moment, since I'm still somewhere in the middle of giving everything a place mentally.

maybe I just need to explore new styles.

and now with my only viable self-publishing platform turning into rot with Stripe rolling up and taking over, there's a less than zero interest for me to go through with self-publishing, or even going through the efforts of making an album to begin with.

but I have found myself feeling burnt out and unwilling to even touch music after an album has released, every time. the stress and the sheer amount of triple-checking, work I'm putting in besides a normal job et al, it's took its toll again and again

misunderstand me not, I've had a lot of fun putting every single album together; from the actual songs to the final tracklist and the art that came with every single album (especially Winds of Tomorrow as a creative journey), it's a lot of fun in that moment.
