8/ Almond died on July 15, 2020, after multiple trips back to the ER.

Citing privacy protections, a Phoebe spokesperson said he could not comment on the specifics of Almond’s case but added “we believe Phoebe provided appropriate care.”

7/ LaTosha Almond was sent home despite having an open bedsore on her lower back.

Her mother described it as as large as a dinner plate, so deep that it showed bone. “It was pouring out yellow and gray pus,” she said.
