I never watch Fox for obvious reasons but need to today bc of the Super Bowl. So I’ve decided to keep track of the ads in order to boycott these products in the future. Remember the days we used to watch the ads for fun? Sigh.

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.
I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.

NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.
Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions

My neighbor John has stepped in to help me numerous times, the latest is plowing my snow with his snowblower in 18 degrees! He won’t accept money so I got him this gift and his face just beamed. Thanks #SeesCandy

Now that Thanksgiving is just about past us, it’s time to pull out the #Christmas (or Hanukah, or whichever holiday you next celebrate) stuff. This is the crech scene I hand made from scratch for my mom 45 years ago. Entitled, “Mary, Joe and the Kid”, she loved it.
