Tbf not everything in Japan was cheaper. This canned beer wasn’t even a tallboy and was like 1,860 yen (12 fucking dollars). In its defense it WAS very tasty and made with a rare persimmon variety. Would chalk up pricing d/t it being a barleywine, but there were even pricier cans with lower ABV.
