I usually use two teaspoons (or tablespoons, depending on the magnitude of the cookie).
Gives you full control over releasing and shaping the dough (after a bit of practice), and is much easier to clean!

their reasoning doesn’t even make sense.

surely most people’s work does not require more powerful computers, let alone phones…
unless you count AI as a productivity gain, and even then, the general purpose models all run on server farms, not locally.

to be fair, most people don’t know that those two exist. shake-to-feedback I think is a thing applications implement themselves, but shake-to-undo seems to be baked pretty deeply into the OS, including basically any text field 🤔
