This medium format photo with an astonishing 100 megapixels of resolution features a beatiful Giant Lotus bulb in the early stages showing deep hues of pink, red, puple and fading green at the base. In the foreground the massive leaves frame the bottom and half of the right side. It is deep dark green with substantial velvet like texture and a spot of light filtering through the leaves above. In the background the long stalk of one of the leaves towers above the flower bulb just to the right extending to the base of its leave which frames the entire top of the image. In the far upper center half of the background is orbs of beautiful light green bokeh from the expanse giant leaves with the spaces bettween the orbs, surrounding the flower bulb and to the left falling quickly to deep black shadows to create negative space against the extreme colors and soft bokeh. An unplanned visit. Walking at night, I kept catching glimpses of the tower in reflections of buildings. I meandered for nearly an hour before finding this angle. It then began to rain giving a nice accidental bloom effect. #wasbisabi #art #tokyotower #japan #prints4U
Tokyo Tower filling the frame with a 4 lane road leading up to it. Traffic is streams of blue and red lights due to the long exposure technique used for this medium format print. There are buildings on each side of the street and a center divider which is where the camera was placed. There is a subtle pleasing blooming effect due to small drops of rain on the camera lens. My second trip to Nagano Japan to visit the famous Snow monkeys of the Onsen (hot springs). Two Snow monkeys are huddled together as the snow intensified during this second snow fall of 2024. #snowmonkeys #japan #mediumformat #photography #naturalworld #wondersofjapan #galleryprints #archivalpapers
From my early December of 2024 trip to Nagano, this was the second significant snow fall of the year. The images features two Snow Monkeys of Nagano Japan Huddled closely together on the edge of a snow covered rock cliff Low freshly snow covered vegetation can be on either side of the monkeys, as well as a stoney cliff raised behind them with a gentle slow covered slope angling downward to the right side of the image. Both monkeys have fresh snow on about 20% of their fur with a snow flurry visibly blowing accross the frame from the right. Both Monkeys are facing right and gazing off in the same direction slightly upward with light catching their eyes beautifully. This and other Snow monkey prints are available from T.
