Been having a small, inexpert love affair with gouache while trying to find a little inner peace with all *waves arms* this going on.

They're red!" - I know better now. Tomatoes don't need to be red. Trees don't need to be brown. And it's not the end of the world if you colour outside the lines.

Shout out to Ernesto's cat sanctuary in Syria. ernestosanctuary.org Winter's coming up and their cats are cuddle-puddling in the 'warm rooms'. They could do with donations for fuel to heat the rooms, food, meds. Particularly since they had to spend funds on repairs after a near miss. #cats

We've all read books that left an impact on us, but we never hear other people talking about them. One for me is Hospital Station, by James White. A sci fi about a space hospital - first sci fi I read that didn't have a strong military vibe. The first story is worth the price of admission alone.
