I'm not an expert in defense and security, not sure which of the minarals Norway has and specifically thoise that we cover in the report are relevant for the defense industry. For me the tradeoff is more between the global goal of protecting the climate and local environmental concerns

🌱 The report makes a number of concrete policy recommendations, including stronger policy coordination, increased funding for innovation, and streamlined regulations. Only then can the EU-Norway Green Alliance achieve its ambitious goals. #PolicyRecommendations #GreenFuture

🏗️ Critical minerals are essential for green tech, and Norway has vast resources, but mining policies are not keeping up and societal opposition will hold it back. Red tape and local environmental opposition slow down development, and the global importance is not highlighted #CriticalMinerals

🔋 Norway’s potential in the battery industry is significant, yet underutilized. The lack of a cohesive national strategy and insufficient investment in R&D are major roadblocks and we are already seen the flight of companies because of international competition #BatteryIndustry #Innovation

🌍 The EU-Norway Green Alliance aims high, but faces significant challenges. Regulatory misalignment and differing priorities between the EU and Norway hinder progress in the critical minerals and battery sectors. #GreenAlliance #Sustainability

I am aware of all that, what I am trying to say is that we don't need to assume farmers' views switched, it's just as likely that the proclimate ones, who also benefit from the Energiewende, and the ones protesting and supporting AfD are simply different people being mobilized by different messages
