I drew a picture I had of a kitten in a sink. I think I'm more comfortable with using layers than I was before, it allows me to get a result that looks pretty good in spite of my laziness.
I gave up long before the chrome of the faucet looked anywhere much like chrome. My focus was the kitten.

I'm just experimenting with layers, lighting and so forth. This is a composition I was thinking of. Not very detailed or refined. But I do like the outcome the layering effect was able to give me with relatively little effort. Still not sure how to best utilize with blending, but I'm practicing.

I've been working on this piece for a while, tried doing no layering and limiting my use of lines (mostly) to just do a painty, sorta sketchy thing. I think I'm done working on it for now and I may return to it later.

Another Starfinder NPC. She's a talented drow technomancer that got a scholarship to study at the best school on Apostae. Too bad for her their society is neutral evil and she ended up leaving the school with a degree and PTSD that she thinks of as just personal weakness. She's a paranoid hider.

Another sketch for a Starfinder NPC. I'm experimenting with replacing the more sketchy linework I usually do with cleaner lines and attempting to focus on building an environment around the figure.

A quick color sketch of an NPC for an upcoming Starfinder game I plan to run. Every time I draw her I tend to change the design of her exoskeleton a bit, in this depiction only a little is just barely visible (it's what the straps at the joints are there to hold in place).
