Sorry to hear Ben. Must put everything in a very different perspective.

Yeah good point on the layout groups. I almost feel people need to be mentally “ready” to deal with relation groups before even clicking on them; there may be a small interface delay, they will usually have to be aware they are creating something, somewhere else with its own context.

What’s your thoughts on leaving relations and formulas at the default icon? As much as I want to give these icons too, I feel here, consistency in leaving these as-is is less jarring for users when they realise these need to be treated quite differently (esp formulas)

I’ve shared this with friends, as the most alarming thing I’ve seen related to an everyday tool. Not so much benevolent, as malevolent.

Joking aside, in fearing the same for a feature like this

Fantastic news! your pressure paid off :-) Hopefully will be available to all plans.

Assuming it’s all about the Enterprise market, do you think the latest pricing plan changes are aiming to catch businesses trying to provide more governable access to latest LLMs eg ChatGPT4.1? (with a simpler fixed price, which also includes internal docs AI search?)

Thanks Matthias, very useful clarification. Completely agree on the importance of pattern-break.

Initially seemed only mildly interesting, but after implementing it into a hyper-DB’d corporate environment, I’d say it is a fantastic feature. Genuinely exciting to be able to apply a familiar tabbed UI across an entire DB’s pages, and ensuring neat consistency across every historical and new page.

💯The ongoing tension between pleasing long-term users who have had the luxury of gradual understanding and adaptation to feature-creep vs the need to upset them with occasional bloat removal or UI redesigns. Keeps everything interesting!

The very best!

Any idea why in general it’s always “Google first” for software integrations? Is this just meeting the main target audience’s needs first (non-Enterprise) or do Microsoft actively hinder development in some way?
December 4, 2024 at 7:11 PM
Yep me too. Such a pain to have to use global search, click on the page link, copy the URL, then paste-mention it an original location. Makes me realise how regularly I am using in-line search to mention.

There’s a rich vein of content ready to explore, for the content creators who go beyond just punting out Notion’s own feature lists 👀

I just can’t put my finger on it…but the tones, palette, specular reflections…the nostalgia finds its way to a part of my soul I struggle to describe. Perhaps that explains the magical joy it brings me. Do you have any recommendations for any books?

The palette and lighting is just beautiful. I’m so glad you gave found you here on Bluesky, Helen. This art is extraordinarily sentimental to me and I find there is nothing else like it today.

Couldn’t help spot the hourglass whirring on the template body- I notice that quite a lot, quite disconcerting when you are keen to start writing there.

I’ve been disappointed in the lack of progress, even imagining the Notion Calendar team was smaller than Morgen’s 12 employees (I’m not sure)
